That's when Sofia met Nathan Chatalystar — a programmer and AI researcher who'd been studying the same problem from the technical side. The only real solution was to remove the middleman entirely.

Our Foundation: The Venezuelan Inspiration
Chatalystar wasn't born in a vacuum — it was forged during the greatest currency collapse in modern history. We witnessed a world where a day's wages could disappear within hours due to hyperinflation. We saw creators — the lifeblood of culture — stripped of their sovereignty by banks and payment rails that chose control over connection.
Since 2003, Venezuela's currency controls blocked access to foreign currencies, making it nearly impossible for creators to receive stable international payments. Sofia's blocked payments weren't an isolated incident — they were a symptom of a global system that uses financial control to decide who gets paid.
Inspired by the resilience of Venezuelan street culture featured in our “Chatalystar, Baby!” manifesto, we realized the only way to protect creator income was to remove the middleman entirely. Nathan built Chatalystar to be the Dating Simulator he wished existed — taking classic lessons on human desire and modernizing them for the digital age.
